Krystal was born in Hong Kong in 1995 and has lived most of her life in Hong Kong until 2011. She’s currently living and studying in London.

Krystal is obsessed with patterns. For her, pattern is an action of revolt since her sister was diagnosed with pattern-sensitive epilepsy. Throughout her years of studies in Arts and Design, she came to a realisation that instead of just illustrating patterns randomly, she could design patterns in a very conceptual and experimental way. From then, she begins her exploration more into Print design, specialised in both Graphic and Fashion Design.

As a Print designer for both womenswear and menswear, her work reflects a sophisticated treatment of material and colour by mixing the fields of graphic design and photography into fashion design. This is embodied through research and experiments, building their own visual language.

Driven by curiosity, Krystal question about the meaning of the subject she is working on. Usually related to her surroundings and human interaction with a subject. Within these aspects the materialisation of colours and graphical prints plays a key role, and can be seen as the core of her work.

Krystal completed her A-level Graphic Design, Fashion and Textile Design, History of Arts and Media Studies in International School of Creative Arts and a Foundation degree in Central Saint Martins in 2014. She is currently studying BA (Hons) Fashion Textiles: Print in London College of Fashion.
